Jam, Jam, and more Jam

Jam any one! Today me and the girls made jam. They were quite the helpers. It was a big mess but they had fun. We bought to flats of raspberries from the Corbridges yesterday, and they weren't cheap, either. I made jam from all the raspberries except for 3 cartons. Thats a lot of jam. There are 14 big jars and 5 little jars. We love jam but I don't know if we will anymore after this batch, just kidding.

Road back to good health, hopefully

Tuesday was the big day. I had my gallbladder taken out. The doctor said that everything went really well and I should start to feel better. I am feeling pretty good just a little sore where the incision sites are. My worst day was the day of the surgery, I didn't wake up very good from being put under. I threw up all day and that is the one thing I hate most off all is being nausea and throwing up. Other that that things are going really well. I hope am done going under the knife for a while.

Bubble Gum Aftermath

This is the aftermath from one of Ella's birthday presents. Ella got a gumball dispenser for her birthday and the girls just loved getting gumballs out after they would put money in it. I kept thinking in my head I am going to regret this toy because I will be cleaning gum out of my carpet because Becca likes to play with hers and I kept telling her to stop playing with it. Well, things went a little different. Becca came out to the living room looking like this and I asked her why she would put gum in her hair and she said I didn't do it Ella did. Needless to say Ella was in trouble. I was afraid that I was going to have to cut it out and then she would have a really short chunk of hair right in the front and I would have to cut bangs to make it look okay. Well luckily I had some spray that takes sticky stuff off windows and etc so I sprayed that in her hair and combed it out with just minor damage to her hair. Kids.

BIG BOY and update on Gallbladder

So Kurt had is 2 month checkup yesterday and he's growing like a weed. He weighed 14lbs 15ozs that's just 1oz from 15lbs. That puts him at 95% in his weight. He was 24 1/2 inches long and that puts him at 90% in his height. He likes to eat.
My gallbladder surgery is scheduled for Tuesday the 22nd and I can't wait. Pretty said to be excited to have another surgery but I can't live like this anymore. I have an attack almost every day. I was up last night with one from about 1am until 5am. I am pretty tired this morning and the kids are on one, go figure.

WELCOME HOME ELDER WARD

Trip to Salt Lake

Jedds brother Trevor came home on Saturday from serving a mission in Ecuador, so we deceided to make a mini vacation out of it. We headed to SLC on Thursday to stay a few nights until Saturday when we would pick Elder Ward up at the airport. We arrived at the hotel that night at about 7pm and finally got checked into our room after 3 failed attempts on there part in giving us the wrong room3 times. Lets just say we won't be staying there again. The girls took advantage of the swimming pool both days and just enjoyed being away. They haven't been able to do much since to baby. On Friday we went to Hogle Zoo. It was a great day. It wasn't to hot or crowded. The zoo has done a lot since we were there last year. Beccas favorite was the snakes for some reasons, ewww! Ella liked a little bit of everything. Then Saturday we headed to the airport to pick up Uncle Trevor. It was a good get away.

Ella turns six!

Ella turned 6 years old on July 9th. She loves presents. It was a long day waiting for dad to get home from work so we could start to celebrate her birthday. We had a small get together, most of the family was gone out of town. I made her a barbie birthday cake. The barbie is wearing a dress made out of cake. Ella thought that was pretty neat. For Ellas presents she asked us for a new bike and a gift card. We gave one to Jedds dad for fathers day and she asked us what it was so we explained it to her and she just thought that was so cool and wanted one for her birthday. She was so excited when she opened her card and saw the gift card in it. She couldn't wait to spend it. Dad picked out the bike, I was so sure about it. It had to get the BIGGEST and the best. I told him she hasn't even learned to ride the little bike she already has without the training wheels. Needless to say that night we had 2 crashed and many tears, but it was a fun day.

2 months old

Kurt was 2 months old on July 9th. He is such a wonderful baby. He has been smiling, cooing and giving out a slight laugh for the last 2 weeks. He is also becoming a great sleeper. He goes to bed between 9 and 10 and then he will sleep until 5:30 or 6 and then I feed him and then he will go back down until 8:30 or 9. It is great. He is a chubby baby, his nickname in Tank. He has an appointment this week so I will let you all know how much tank weighs.

Happy 4th of July

What a busy 4th, but it was fun. We started the day off with the parade in town. Becca caught candy while Ella rode on a float with her friends. Later we ate dinner at the Wards and the kids played together and went swimming in the backyard. Then we headed to my parents for a while before heading back into the park for the rest of the festivites and last but not least the FIREWORKS. They were a little disappointing this year. That about sums it up for our 4th of July.
